LEVEL 2 AWARD FOR UPSKILLING A DOOR SUPERVISOR WITHIN THE PRIVATE SECURITY INDUSTRY (QCF)
PURPOSE AND AIM OF QUALIFICATION
The LASER level 2 Award for Upskilling a Door Supervisor (QCF) is an essential qualification for those seeking to renew their SIA Door Supervisor’s Licence and who gained a Door Supervision qualification prior to June 2010 or whose qualification did not include the physical intervention module (applies to some qualifications awarded between June and September 2010).
The qualification is one of a series of licence linked security qualifications that has come after a period of review by the SIA and the industry competencies and therefore meets their requirements for a licence linked qualification.
The qualification is aimed at those who have a previous award and or qualification which confers partial exemption from the full Door Supervisors qualification and are seeking to renew their SIA licence.
