What kind of ID is acceptable?

Changes to our Group A and Group B Documents

The requirements below reflect the changes by the SIA from July 2015.
Two identity documents from group A. At least one document must show your current address and at least one document must show your date of birth.

Or

One identity document from group A and two documents from group B. At least one document must show your current address and at least one document must show your date of birth.

Please note, we will not accept a two-part driving license as both a Group A and Group B document.


Group A documents

I.D. Code Acceptable I.D.
A1 Signed valid passport of any nationality.
A2 Signed valid UK photo driving licence (both parts: photo card and paper counterpart of the full or provisional licence are required if issued by DVLA in Great Britain or Northern Ireland).
OR new valid UK photo card driving licensing issued by DVLA in Great Britain (not if issued by DVLA in Northern Ireland).
A3 UK original birth certificate issued within 12 months of birth.
A4 UK biometric residence permit.

Group B documents

I.D. Code Acceptable I.D.
B1 Valid EU photo ID card.
B2 Valid UK firearms licence with photo.
B3 Signed valid UK paper driving licence or paper counterpart of a UK photo driving licence.
OR a Northern Ireland DVLA photo card.
B4 Marriage certificate or Civil Partnership certificate, with translation if not in English.
B5 UK birth certificate issued more than 12 months after date of birth, but not a photocopy.
B6 Non-UK birth certificate, with translation if not in English.
B7 UK adoption certificate.
B8 P45 statement of income for tax purposes on leaving a job issued in the last 12 months.
B9 P60 annual statement of income for tax purposes issued in the last 12 months.
B10 Bank or building society statement issued to your current address, less than three months old. You can use more than one statement as long as each is issued by a different bank or building society.
B11 Mortgage statement issued in the last 12 months.
B12 Utility bill (gas, electric, telephone, water, satellite, cable) issued to your current address within the last three months. You can only use one utility bill.
B13 Pension, endowment or ISA statement issued in last 12 months.
B14 British work permit or visa issued in last 12 months.
B15 Letter from H.M. Revenue & Customs, Department of Work and Pensions, employment service, or local authority issued within the last three months. You can use more than one letter as long as each is issued by a different Government department or a different local authority.
B16 A credit card statement sent to your current address within the last three months. You can use more than one statement as long as each is issued by a different issuer.
B17 Council Tax statement issued in the last 12 months.
B18 Child benefit book issued in last 12 months.

 

Can I cancel or change the date of my course?

If you cancel your course at least 7 working days before the course begins, we will refund your fee minus £50 administrative charges.

You can also change your course date at least 7 working days before your actual course begins at no extra cost.

If the cancellation or changes are been made within 7 working days, then there will be no refunds given.

What if I come late or miss a class?

Attendance must be 100%, any late arrivals are not acceptable for any security courses.

What if I would like to get refund during the course?

Our refund policy is very clear and is mentioned above. Any sort of unacceptable behaviour is not acceptable and will lead to exclusion from the course for which there will be no refund.

Is my seat is reserved?

All bookings are subject to availability of spaces. If you pay your full fees, you will get a confirmation email from the centre confirming the date and time of the course.

Can the centre change the dates, time, fees and the venue of the course?

The centre has the right to change the dates, time, and fees of the course without giving prior notice. However the booked course will not be affected in terms of prices.

Can I book over the phone, email, etc.?

Yes, you can book over phone or email. Please note that your seat will be booked only once you pay the full fees.

How can I pay the fees?

You can pay the fees either by online payment through website, bank transfer or pay in cash at the centre.

Do I need to come and collect the certificate?

Yes, you need to come and collect the certificate.

Can you post the certificate for me?

Yes, we only do special delivery for which the student have to pay £10.

What if I lost/damage my certificate?

If you lost/damage your certificate you have to pay a fee of £50 for replacement certificate.

What I have to provide to register?

All students are responsible and must provide the centre with correct and accurate personal information, ID and any other relevant documents requested by the centre.
