NCFE LEVEL 5 NVQ DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP (QCF)

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This qualification is designed for learners who are working, or would like to work, in a senior management and leadership role within any sector or industry. This is a cross sector qualification aimed at current and prospective managers and leaders. This qualification covers the skills needed to be successful at a managerial level, and covers competencies applicable to a wide range of contexts. This course will help the learner to achieve the skills required to manage present day business and management issues. This qualification offers an engaging programme for higher education and adult learners who are clear about the area of employment they wish to enter or to which they wish to progress within existing employment. To achieve NCFE level 5 diploma in management and leadership, candidates must achieve a minimum of 53 credits. Candidates must complete all four mandatory units (Group A) worth 22 credits, plus a minimum of 23 credits from optional units (Group B) and remaining 8 credits can come from optional units (Group B or C).

LEARNING OBJECTIVE

The main objective of this qualification is to provide learners with the skills they need to operate as a successful manager. For those who already fulfilling a senior managerial role, it will help them to confirm competence. This course allows learners to develop skills in a range of areas relevant to senior manager roles, such as business process, strategic change and risk management. Moreover it helps learners to develop the skills and qualities valued in employees by employers and make them understand and work on their strengths and weaknesses as a manager. This course will also provide learners with the necessary knowledge and skills in order to carry out their roles in an effective an efficient manner.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

The Saxon Academy of Learning seeks to recruit students who has got the potential and has achieved outstanding success from all educational backgrounds. The most important factor in the admission of students for this course is good examination results in A level or equivalent. English language proficiency such as IELTS is also required with an overall band of 5.0. In addition to this the college can also use other information supplied to us to ensure that we admit genuine and potential students. This information might include past grades, face to face/skype interview, and knowledge and commitment in your personal statement describing your analytical and interpersonal skills. Apart from these, TWO references from an employer and teacher is also required. This will help us to build up a complete view of our applicants.
